After graduating from Edinburgh University in Mechanical Engineering, Andy secured his first position in the industry with Smedvig in 1989.

During his drilling career, Andy worked for ten major operators including BP and Shell, working his way up from Drilling Engineer to Drilling Supervisor, before starting to take an interest in designing his own tools.

Andy founded the Rentals Company in 2002 to begin offering these innovations to the industry, securing initial runs with Hess & Shell in 2003. He continued to contract offshore until 2006 by which time the Company had firmly established a small range of niche application tools.   

Today with many established product, design and method patents to his name, Andy continues to drive the industry forward with new innovations and is frequently consulted by leading industry engineers to advise on technical applications and challenges.

After graduating from Manchester University in Mechanical Engineering, Mike joined technology start-up Aprotec, working on ordnance detection and business automation systems.

Eight years were then spent at Elcometer Instruments, culminating as the Commercial Manager of their global network supplying industrial measurement and control systems.

Mike joined Andy in 2004 to support the growth of the company to its current multi-product and multi-region capability. Mike is responsible for the operations, commercial and administrative functions and leads corporate development of the company.
