DAV mx CircSub

ValveAn upgrade of the popular WAV (Wiper Activated Valve), the Dart Activated Valve provides reliability, speed and the widest range of applications in a single valve. The DAV is conventionally configured, with a ported body and a spring closed internal piston, however its unique ability to accept MX darts sets it above the rest.

No need to pre-configure simply run universal valve in hole and use the dart for the application when opening is needed.

Catcher Sub

Easy multi-cycling
o Steel darts load even faster than a wiper
o Gravity alone can provide delivery at up to 55 degrees
o Pump into place in horizontal sections
o MX darts can be pumped in fast without blow-thru
o And therefore a more visible opening pressure drop at surface
o No service hand required

Reliability & Performance
o Valve simplicity provides durable downhole integrity
o Class leading thru-bore diameters
o No polymer temperature/wear/extrusion variability

Multi-modal flexibility
o 100% Bypass or Split Flow
o Non-return or Reversible mode
o BHA isolation option

Patent pending for assured multi-cycling, removes the need to rely on plastic extrusion and blow-thru uncertainty. Standard MX darts have 10:1 safety factor to ensure reliable opening.

The conventional steel pins in the darts have highly consistent shear out properties, resilient to variations in temperature and pressure providing the high landing force strength needed to guarantee reliable valve opening. The small shearing button at the top of the dart limits the area of bore pressure to which the pins are exposed, providing the safety factor against accidental extrusion and premature closing of the valve.

The final part of the MX system is the closing dart which when landing on the shearing button reverses the safety factor and applies the full bore pressure to shear out the darts into the catcher below and allow the valve to close.
