A vacancy has arisen in our Aberdeen office for an IT Manager. 

This is a 'Hands On' role with responsibility for the day to day operational performance and security of IT applications and infrastructure across our four main international locations. As our Company continues to develop and grow, we are looking for an experienced individual who can support us on our digital transformation journey.

The IT Manager is the first point of contact and senior resource for the IT department and reports directly to the CEO.

The successful candidate will have several years experience working in a busy IT department, have a proven track record of project management and general Management experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Management of the IT Department and associated budget
  • Running the IT Help Desk
  • Management and development of IT staff
  • Cloud Administration - data centre/Azure
  • Management of the Server and Network Infrastructure
  • Assessment and management of data and infrastructure security
  • Procurement and maintenance of all IT Equipment
  • Software Implementation - including identification of appropriate software, installation, roll out and training
  • Vendor Management
  • Updating internally developed applications on Azure
  • Preparing reports for the CEO and Board as and when required
  • Developing and maintaining the Company Sharepoint site
  • Ensuring all technical department policies and documentation are correct and up to date
  • Management and provision of Windows Server infrastructure
  • Reviewing and testing disaster recovery procedures

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computing or equivalent
  • ITIL Certification (desirable)
  • PRINCE2 or similar Project Management qualification (desirable)
     

 

Essential Technical Skills:

  • Management and provision of Windows Server Infrastructure
  • Active Directory
  • Group Policy
  • DNS, DHCP. Networking
  • Azure Active Directory
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Citrix Administration
  • Cisco/ Meraki Management and configuration 
  • Avaya IP Phone system management
  • Office 365 
  • Windows 10
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Knowledge of JAMF or other similar MDM system

 

Desirable Technical Skills:

  • Power BI Dashboard and report creation and management
  • Application development using C# / ASP. Net Webforms/ MVC 5
  • MSSQL Database querying using SQL
  • Sharepoint administration
  • Knowledge of Syrinx, Sage 200, Q-Pulse would be advantageous
